A magical wedding at Kurtz Orchard in Niagara

Jenny and Scott's day was something straight out of a fairy tale and it was every bit as magical. The weather was beautiful with sunshine and that just right temperature to keep everyone in high spirits throughout the whole day. One of the reasons why it held this wonderful magical essence was that there were tiny details sprinkled throughout the day that truly made the day as unique as their relationship. Here's a short list of some of my favorite details from their day:

Rocking the Getting Ready:

What's more rockstar than getting ready for your wedding while wearing your favourite Alexisonfire concert T??!

Shoutout to eco-consciousness in the wedding industry:

One of the bridesmaids, Heather, is a florist that specializes in eco-conscious flower farming at Heirloom Heather. She took such great care of the florals which not only included the bouquets and decor, but also all of the delicate flowers woven into Jenny's and the rest of the bridesmaids hair. Seriously, she is such a wonderful talent and I absolutely LOVE that she incorporates an eco-conscious mindset to an industry that is difficult to do so. Please go check out her wonderful work HERE!

First Looks are always encouraged:

Jenny + Scott opted for a first look which is something I always strongly recommend. They got to have a private moment just for them to soak in the day with each other, while also allowing us to knock out the wedding party photos before the ceremony so there's more time for relaxing with guests.

Having your wedding party sit instead of stand:

The entire wedding party was seated during the ceremony instead of standing. I saw this trend on social media and was so excited to be able to see how it looks on the wedding day. Not only does this make it much more comfortable for your wedding party, but it also means they get a great view of their favorite people tying the knot! Often the bride and groom don't actually see the faces of their wedding party during the ceremony so it was so great to see how much it meant to Jenny + Scott to look out and see the faces of their party included in the crowd. As a wedding photographer, it made for such great emotional shots of the groomsmen and bridesmaids during the ceremony that are some of me favorite shots to date!

These are seemingly small details but I found it really created such a personal and intimate atmosphere that truly tied the whole day together.
