I Do with a view!


Photographing Shayne and Carson’s August wedding at Blue Mountain was truly a special and one of the coolest wedding experiences I've had yet! Even without snow, the breathtaking mountain landscape overlooking Georgian Bay made for the most incredible setting for these two adventurous souls. Shayne mentioned in her questionnaire that they’re always on the go—whether it’s hitting the gym, grabbing a bite with friends, or exploring the great outdoors—so it was only fitting that they tied the knot in such a scenic, mountaintop location. They even got engaged while skiing on Whistler, BC so choosing Blue Mountain as their venue was perfect for them!


Their ceremony at Off-Piste was nothing short of magical. Riding the gondola up to the top was an experience in itself, with panoramic views of Blue Mountain and the sparkling waters of Georgian Bay stretching into the horizon. But stepping onto the ceremony site? Absolutely breathtaking. Shayne and Carson exchanged vows with the most stunning backdrop behind them—rolling hills, endless sky, and the vast blue expanse of the bay. It was the perfect blend of wild beauty and heartfelt emotion, making for one of the most picturesque ceremonies I’ve ever had the honor of capturing.


One of my favorite moments from the day was seeing the genuine, emotional reactions from Shayne’s bridal party. The love and support surrounding these two was so heartwarming. And their thoughtful decision to do a receiving line after the ceremony meant they could personally greet each guest without feeling rushed during dinner.


As the sun dipped behind the mountains, Shayne and Carson had their first dance under the stars—an unforgettable moment that kicked off an epic night. A conga line broke out, the groomsmen warmed up for some next-level dance moves, and the shot-skis? Oh yeah, they were a massive hit.

From start to finish, their wedding was filled with love, laughter, and the most spectacular scenery. I already can’t wait to be back at Blue Mountain for another adventure-filled celebration like this one!
